EOI to help shape the future of the Illawarra Urban Renewable Energy Zone 

In partnership with EnergyCo, i3net is bringing together members for a roundtable workshop to help shape the future of the Illawarra Urban Renewable Energy Zone (REZ).

We are now inviting expressions of interest from i3net members who would like to participate in this workshop. Places are limited to ensure meaningful discussion, and we are particularly keen to hear from businesses that can provide practical industry insights.

This is an opportunity for local industry to share ideas, explore potential opportunities and contribute to discussions about what the Urban REZ could mean for businesses across our region.

Date: Tuesday 17 November
Time: 8:30am – 11am
Location: Wollongong.

The workshop with i3net members will explore:

• Possible technologies and initiatives that may be rolled out in the REZ
• Challenges and opportunities for the region
• What does the future look like for your business in the Illawarra, and how does the Urban REZ feature in that future?

The workshop will bring together selected i3net members to test ideas and provide practical insight to help make the Illawarra Urban REZ a success.

Who should express interest?
We are particularly keen to hear from businesses that:

• Have significant electricity, or gas, usage
• Already have rooftop solar and/or battery storage
• Are in the process of, or investigating, electrifying their operations
• Have large roof areas
• Have flexibility in their electricity usage or potential to participate in demand response initiatives
• Are involved in the design, supply or delivery of relevant energy technologies and solutions.

Places are limited to ensure meaningful discussion and a productive workshop. Expressions of interest will be reviewed, with participation confirmed by i3net.

There is no cost to attend, and catering will be provided.
