Koenigs is an electromechanical engineering and manufacturing company servicing the heavy industrial and mining sectors in Australia and around the world.
Established in 1984 in Wollongong NSW, the company has built up a state-of-the-art workshop with a skilled and dedicated workforce. Koenigs’ workshop is equipped with advanced technology to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
Koenig’s engineers and tradespeople manufacture products to the highest quality and tolerance utilising CNC machining technology, waterjet profile cutting, formed-in-place gasket machinery and other advanced equipment. The company continues to invest in tooling and equipment to achieve greater automation and to bring more processes in house, thereby increasing their flexibility and responsiveness.

Products And Services
Visual Load Break Electrical Isolators
Koenigs Visual Isolators are the company’s signature product. Koenigs visible break isolators are regarded by some of the biggest names in industry as the foremost isolators in quality and design. Koenigs Visual Isolators come with a 10-year warranty.
All Koenigs Visual Isolators incorporate the following:
- Koenigs quality Australian-made enclosures
- IP66 protection rating
- Legrand® VistopTM or DPXTM load break switches (63A to 1600A)
- Multi pole configuration (3 to 9 poles) with up to two auxiliary contacts per switch
- Easy-to-see colour coded main switches
- Large viewing window with optional incorporated internal 24VDC LED lighting
- Interlocking door and switch mechanisms prevent the door from opening when the switch is on and prevent switch operation when the door is open.
Koenigs Visual Isolators have a superior handle design with the following characteristics:
- 316 grade stainless steel with full bronze bushes (except fully insulated handles)
- Standard 2-position lockable in OFF position or 3-position with increased door locking functionality
- Side-switched mechanism permanently connected to the switch shaft eliminating shaft misalignment, wear, and damage
- Mechanical prevention of over-switching.
For applications that are ‘out of the ordinary’, Koenigs can custom design a solution to conform to the specific project requirements.
Koenigs Enclosures
Koenigs’ range of quality enclosures includes:
- STD Series standard flat-roof enclosures
- SR Series 30-degree sloped roof enclosures
- PB Series designed for harsh environments.
Koenigs enclosures are offered in a range of standard sizes or can be custom built to meet specific project requirements. All products comply with mandatory safety standards and regulations and come with a 10-year warranty.
High Quality Steel Construction
Koenigs STD Series enclosures are made from 1.5mm 316 grade stainless steel or powder coated Zincanneal steel.
Koenigs SR Series enclosures are made from 1.5mm 316 grade stainless steel with No.4 surface finish.
Koenigs PB Series are made from 2mm X15 Orange powder coated Zincanneal steel or 316 grade stainless steel with No.4 surface finish and optional X15 Orange.
All Koenigs enclosures have the following characteristics:
- Sturdy 3mm Zincanneal powder-coated internal mounting pan
- IP66 rating
- Wall mounting points integrated into flanges – no additional mounting brackets required
- Single locking points for enclosures up to 600mm
- Multiple locking points for enclosures 600mm or higher
- Padlockable options available
- A range of gland plate materials and sizes
- Custom fitouts.
Electrical Distribution Enclosures
Koenigs Electrical Distribution Enclosure come with a range of standard features and can be customised to suit individual customer requirements.
Features include:
- Flat roof or 30-degree or 40-degree sloped roof
- Gloss x15 orange powder coating
- Elegant black pintle hinge for easy door removal
- Top hat mounting pan to accommodate any chassis size
- Manufactured in Australia to AS/NZS 61439.1:2016 and AS/NZS 3000:2018
- All enclosure sizes can be water cut, welded, and shaped to suit any application
- 10-year warranty.
