Edmiston Jones (EJ) is an architectural practice established on the South Coast of NSW in 1986, with studios in Wollongong, Nowra and Batemans Bay. We believe that being ‘on the ground’ is essential when dealing with regional conditions, local contractors and Councils in the area. Our environmentally appropriate designs respect and respond to the specific climatic and geographic conditions of our region.

The firm operates along clear well-established processes and enjoys a well-earned reputation in the profession. Directors, Mark Jones, Zoran Micevski, Dorelia Glasgow, Stuart Scobie and Margie Rahmann drive a high standard of design excellence supported by a long-standing and committed team. EJ’s staff of more that 20 people, manage multiple projects of varying scale with particular experience in industrial developments from concept design, through to construction.

Our Industrial Team are skilled in the design of purpose-built, client driven projects including processing plants as well as manufacturing, production, and distribution facilities. These projects typically necessitate input from businesses with multiple departments and other stakeholders. Significant technical information needs to be filtered and deciphered demanding a specialised skillset to make sure that the facility’s functionality and efficiency is optimised. The Industrial Team, working with our Architects, Landscape and Interior Teams, appreciate that these projects are more than just sheds. We understand the purpose-built structures, catering for complex processes with sophisticated hi-tech equipment, are generally large structures with a significant visual, and often environmental, impact. While the firm is known for a pragmatic approach and sound knowledge of how buildings come together, the design skills of our multidisciplinary organisation ensure that the built outcome is a success for the client as well as the community.
