i3net Energy Breakfast
The i3net April Industry Energy Breakfast was held at The Grange, Kembla Grange on Tuesday 8 April, 2025. With 140 members, partners, and guests in attendance, it was a fantastic opportunity to hear from industry leaders and connect with key decision makers.
The event was opened by i3net CEO, Bianca Perry, who welcomed everyone to a morning dedicated to exploring energy innovations and collaboration across the Illawarra region.
Speakers included:
- James Roth, Sustainability Manager, University of Wollongong, who presented on UOW Electrification and the university’s innovative steps toward energy resilience.
- Martyn Garrett, GM Operations Readiness at Squadron Energy, provided an insightful update on the Port Kembla Energy Terminal, highlighting its role in supporting NSW’s energy transition.
- During breakfast and networking, attendees had the opportunity to view the Toyota Hydrogen Generator on display—a cutting-edge fuel-cell generator technology showcased by Daniel Ivanov, Manager Energy & Partnerships, New Business Solutions, Toyota Australia.
- John Mills, Regional Manager – Illawarra and South East NSW, ICN NSW, discussed upcoming Energy Work Packages, providing valuable insights into current and future opportunities for local industry.
