NSW Ports plays a vital role in keeping Australia’s economy moving.
We manage key trade gateways at Port Botany and Port Kembla, through which millions of tonnes of freight are imported and exported to domestic and international markets each year
Port Botany and Port Kembla are NSW’s key import and export gateways – the engine room that supports the NSW economy.
Port Kembla is a key infrastructure asset for New South Wales and an economic driver in the Illawarra region. The port of Port Kembla supports New South Wales’ motor vehicle, mining, agricultural, manufacturing and construction industries. It is the home to the state’s largest motor vehicle import hub and grain export terminal, and is the second largest coal export port in New South Wales. The port handles a range of dry bulk, bulk liquid and general cargo.
